Pantone Color of the Year

I, like most of you, get super excited when Pantone announces their color of the year. 

And this year, wow, a blast of color and excitement with Viva Magenta!!

Every article on interior design in the past few months is all about the changes in the interior design world since the pandemic started.  The logic being, everyone is ready for some color and excitement in their lives after the last several years of sheltering in place and working from home.

Now how do we translate this to the floral design world and especially weddings?!?!

I’ve definitely seen this color used in years past, and we all know; what goes around, comes around, right?!?! 

In my early years I used lots, and I mean LOTS of color in my weddings, in fact it was what I was known for in my market.  But truth be told, I cringe a tiny bit when I look back on some of the images from these weddings. As I grew in my business and my aesthetic became a bit more classic and timeless I found other ways to incorporate the bright colors my brides were wanting to use. So how do you use Pantone’s Viva Magenta in the coming year? Be bold, and don’t forget, just have fun and design!!
